    Albie Mulcahy, is a lifelong friend of Monica McMasters. He is a legendary hairdresser and formerly the Educational Director for Sahag International. John Sahag passed away recently but was the world’s best-known and accomplished dry-cutting personality who took it to new heights in the celebrity and fashion worlds. John Sahag was a friend of B Street and a close friend of Albie.

    Albie comes to Savannah once a month to perform the Sahag trademark dry haircut & educate the B Street staff. His passion is to cultivate and nurture hairdressers worldwide, promote, enlighten and refine an interest in learning the characteristics of what Albie describes as, ‘a new – all encompassing hair-society.’

    Albie has an amazing history, one you’d have to hear from him to fully appreciate. He is one of the most sought-after educators in the industry. Call the salon and ask when Albie’s next scheduled day is at B Street Salon. He takes 5 clients only on each visit to B Street Salon.

    Monica’s career has spanned 30 years and has touched many aspects of the beauty industry. Born in Savannah, she started as a shampoo girl at age 15 at Joel and Company and was a member of the Jr. USA styling team at 18. Monica worked with Don Shaw hairdressers in Atlanta and managed 3 salons for Albie Mulcahey in the Boston area. She was brought to San Diego to be a part of the national artistic team for Paul Mitchell Systems with a specialty in photo shoots and hairdressing. Monica worked with other prestigious companies including Aveda, Anasasi and Rusk.

    Monica’s work has appeared in many publications including Bazaar, Vogue, and Modern Salon. She is extremely well respected in the industry as a master hairdresser. She moved back to Savannah with her family in 1993 and opened B Street Salon in 1997. Monica brought all of her creative experiences together to create the award-winning salon B Street Salon.
