Welcome to B Street Salon, we’re glad you’re visiting our website – we would enjoy having you as a client. We have cultivated a unique position in the Savannah area. Here is an overview of our business, our culture, and our position in the community.
I started B Street Salon in 1997 in the same Broughton Street location we work from today. In 2004 we expanded next door into a second floor space we call, “the loft.” Prior to opening the B Street Salon, I worked for Jeanne Bra and Paul Mitchell Systems in San Diego and traveled extensively as an artistic director, educator, and platform artist. My love of hairdressing continues on.

B Street Salon does a lot of community service; it’s part of our culture. We get involved with fund raising events for worthy causes. In 2005 we organized a city wide event called “The Cutting Pledge” a hurricane Katrina relief event. We get involved with Breast Cancer Awareness in October through “Paint The Town Pink.” We are proud supporters of Savannah’s Rape Crises Center. The Salon also supports The Bicycle Campaign by passing back to the organization 10% of all services and products purchased by its members. We provide the hairdressing services each year for the Telfair Museum of Art annual fashion show. In prior years we provided all the hairdressing and makeup for the SCAD fashion show. We’ve done smaller events like “Razors for Raul” and the Nick Patrini Family fund. The salon also regularly provides hairdressing for local high school plays. This year we embark on a new project, feeding the hungry at the Baptist Center on Sunday mornings.
B Street Salon is not an ordinary salon. Our hairdressers make two to four times what the average stylist earns. We have health insurance, off street paid parking for employees, all wages (including tips) are reported, and we are meticulous about what products we use and sell – we do things right.
We place an emphasis on our hairdresser’s talents and that results in loyal customers who love their hair. We embrace significant and ongoing advanced cutting and color education because our industry is constantly changing. We don’t rest on last season’s styles. We play an important part of the larger fashion and style business and we stay on top of it.
Most of all we are proud of our success and our commitment to every client’s satisfaction. Our stylists are some of the most highly skilled professional hairdressers around. They have chosen to make their mark in our industry and in our community, and we are proud of their commitment and excellence.
